Wally was my pet budgie. He was adopted on March 19, 2016. He unfortunately passed away on the night of July 21, 2020, age 11. This page is dedicated to remembering the joy he brought to my life and the life of my friends and family.
I adopted Wally with his lifelong buddy, Tequila, who is a cockatiel. Their previous caretaker had passed away and her husband put them both up for adoption. They were approximately 6-7 years old at the time.
Wally was a bossy little boy. He, like Tequila, was rather shy to interact with humans. However, in his relationship with Tequila, he was in command. He wouldn't let Tequila preen him and would make Tequila move off the food dish if he decided he wanted to be on it. Like any bird, he loved to sing to music or talking.
It's hard to think of words that can describe how Wally affected my life. He was precious to me, so adorable and sweet. He always cheered me up and losing him continues to be hard to deal with. I love you so much Wally. Rest in peace.
